Installing a new esoTalk forum

  1. Make sure that PHP 4.3 or greater and MySQL 4.1 or greater are both installed on your server.
  2. Extract the files from the zip and upload them to your server.
  3. Navigate to your forum in a web browser and follow the installation steps!
  4. If you have any problems, read more detailed instructions or get help at our support forum.

Upgrading an existing esoTalk installation

  1. Extract the files from the zip and overwrite your old esoTalk files (but don't upload the install/ folder.)
  2. Navigate to your forum in a web browser and your forum will be upgraded!
